Steve is a passionate storyteller whose writing is inspired by his ongoing quest for purpose. He lives in Norfolk, Massachusetts, with his greatest joy, his family. A USMC veteran and software professional, his joys include writing, skiing, carpentry, hiking and … guitar! Learning to play later in life, Steve moved from background rhythm to lead guitarist in his last few bands. This experience became the foundation and theme for his debut manuscript—Tweaked.
Twenty-six-year-old Craig Danielson is at a crossroads in his life. Competent in his job at a struggling software company, scarred from a painful breakup, Craig is introduced to a new and dangerous medical procedure which will make him an expert in any field or occupation he chooses. Left with mountains of debt, and being laid off from work, he is presented the opportunity to undergo a new procedure that will turn his average skills into those of an expert. Although Craig decides the procedure is way too dangerous, he is deceived by the doctor, who performs the procedure against his will.
An accessible and heartfelt story, TWEAKED takes an intimate character-driven look at how far people will go to be the best, and the ramifications of gaining an unearned skill.
